CHS / Hamilton Farm Bureau has an opportunity for a 3rd Shift - Operations Specialist at West Michigan Mills. You will work extensively with Country Operations Cooperative Customers in insuring they are provided the highest level of service. You must be customer focused, hardworking, and have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. This position has the opportunity for growth.
You will:
· Be responsible for working safely in all feed mill operations.
· Primary area of responsibility will be to operate a computerized feed batching and manufacturing system for the production of livestock feeds in a manner that assures accuracy and high quality.
· Perform necessary sequencing, recording, and documenting of all feed manufactured during the shift.
· Be able to unload and receive ingredient products from trucks or train cars.
· Deliver product to customer’s farms as needed.
· Monitor and maintain quality of inventory.
· Regulate and participate in housecleaning processes and record keeping.
· Maintain records on all elevator equipment including legs, conveyors, grain cleaner, vehicles and all facility equipment that is associated with your specific role.
· General work around the facility.
· Provide excellent customer service and assist customers when needed.
· Observe and enforce all company policies and procedures.
· Perform other duties as assigned by management.
High School diploma or GED.
Able to work 3rd Shift from 10 pm to 6 am.
Able to lift 75 lbs, climb rail cars, ladders, stairs and bins.
Experience operating loaders, conveyors and tractors.
Able to work in dusty conditions and adverse weather conditions and temperatures.
Able to work extended hours to meet business demands.
CDL license or ability to attain.
Pass a DOT required physical and drug screen.
Farming background.
Grain handling and operating milling experience. Knowledge of livestock feed.
